Buy It Now Price: 499.99See Auction: HERENicknamed “Clyde” for the off the court digs, reminiscent of Warren Beatty in the ’67 movie Bonnie and Clyde, Walt Frazier can now bring his unique sense of style to your home, with this full-size framed jersey personally autographed by the legend himself. Frazier helped to revolutionize the modern game of basketball turning defensive from an important fundamental to an art form. Picking the pocket of unsuspecting point guards almost at will, Frazier used his quick hands to amass 681 steals over the course of his NBA career. For his efforts, Frazier was named to the NBA All-Defensive Team 7 times, to go with his 7 All-Star appearances (in which he took home MVP honors in 1975) and 4 All-NBA First Team selections. Though celebrated for his defense, Frazier was equally lethal on the offensive end, averaging 18.1 PPG to go with 6.8 APG for his career. Perhaps the achievements which most cemented Clyde’s place in history were the NBA Championship trophies he brought to Gotham City, taking home the league hardware in both the 1970 and 1973 seasons. On this particular Knicks jersey, Frazier not only signed his name “Walt ‘Clyde’ Frazier,” but also adorned the ’0′ with the inscription “70 73 Champs.”Frazier’s 10 jersey was retired by the New York Knicks on December 15, 1979, with Frazier holding the franchise records for most games, minutes, field goals made/attempted, free throws made/attempted and assists at the time. Though Center Patrick Ewing would break many of these marks, the assists total still stands. Not to mention, Ewing never delivered a title to the MSG faithful, an argument for Frazier and teammate Willis Reed as the greatest Knicks to ever play the game. Now you can retire Frazier’s jersey to your own personal collection, with this one of a kind ready-to-hang souvenir.
